Subject: Complaint about irregular water supply in Ganesh Galli.
Sir,
I am a resident of Ganesh Galli in Sukhapur village. For the last three weeks, the tap water supply in our lane has been very irregular. Sometimes there is no water for two or three days, and sometimes it comes at very low pressure and at odd hours. Often the water is muddy too.
Because of this, all the families in the lane are facing great difficulty. Women and children have to fetch water from a distant well. Students lose their study time. There is also a fear of illness spreading because of the muddy water. People in the lane suspect a leak somewhere in the main pipeline.
I humbly request you to look into this problem urgently, get the pipeline inspected, and restore a regular and clean water supply to our lane. Announcing a fixed time for the water supply would also be a great convenience to the residents.
Yours faithfully,

Key points
- The complaint is precise: which area, since when, and what exactly the problem is are all stated clearly.
- Describing the effects on residents (time, health, studies) shows how serious the complaint is.
- Though it is a complaint, the language stays polite; angry or accusing words are avoided.
- A solution is also suggested at the end (inspection, fixed timing), which makes the letter more effective.
